Consent to medical records?

Hi all,

We have an employee on a sick leave for the last few months and as part of the procedure we are due to send them a sick leave confirmation alongside a request for them to grant us the access to their medical files. Since I am new to the Swiss system, I am wondering if that is a standard procedure and whether the employee is obliged to consent to disclose the details considering the Dr notes are normally limited to a time period only? The wording we use is as follows:

In order that we can examine your benefit entitlement as quickly as possible, we need access to your files, for which reason we rely on your support: Can you please grant us the enclosed consent and return it dated and signed in the next 14 days? The consent allows us an optimal cooperation with the involved physicians and possibly later with the disability insurance. Thank you very much.
